Reflections on the 2022 Doomsday Clock: It is 100 seconds to midnight

Tue, 02/01/2022 - 6:12pm by webadmin

Friday, 4 February, 10:00 AM CST

Engage with the experts who set the iconic Doomsday Clock. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists is hosting "Reflections on the 2022 Doomsday Clock," on Friday, 4 February, at 10 AM Central Standard Time. The Bulletin Science and Security Board sets the clock each year; join members Robert Latiff, Suzet McKinney, Robert Socolow, and Steven Miller in conversation with Bulletin President and CEO Rachel Bronson about the factors that went into setting the 2022 Doomsday Clock time. Plus, we’ll discuss ways we can #TurnBackTheClock.

In partnership with Student Pugwash USA, International/Student Young Pugwash, and the Kimball Smith Series at Yale University, this program will be followed by a student-only Q&A with Bulletin Science and Security Board members Rachel Bronson and Daniel Holz.

Register for the event here, and if you're a student, be certain to tick the checkbox "I am a student" to be included in the private Q&A.
